Recurve Bow

We use SAS Spirit takedown recurves that range in size, orientation, and draw weight. We use 54', 16# bows for youth and teens, 62', 18# bows for adults, and 66', 20# bows for taller adults.

Youth Bows

For our youngest archers, we use Bear Bows. These bows are especially useful for smaller children under 7 since they can accommodate both left and right hand orientations. The package listed here also includes safety arrows and a quiver, making this kit an ideal gift for younger students.

Carbon Arrows

During our lessons and services, we use a combination of 28" and 30" arrows with a 500 spine. Arrow lengths vary based on the archers draw length. To measure yours, place both arms out straight in front of you with your palms together. Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the center of your chest to determine your ideal arrow length.

Rubber Blunted Arrow Tips

To maintain the safety of our lessons and services for beginners and young archers, we use rubber blunts on our arrows. These blunts can be applied to most arrows. Simply screw off the point of the arrow and slide on the rubber blunt to create a safer shooting environment.

Targets

We use a combination of oversized 48" targets and standard 36" targets. All of our targets are made of ethafoam, and have removable cores. We take out the core and use rubber blunted arrows to 'shoot through' the target for our archery booth and services for younger students. For pointed arrows, this feature extends the life of the target since cores can be bought separately and frequently replaced.

Target Stands

Since our archery range needs to be portable, we use collapsible target stands on wheels. These stands are convenient, lightweight, and easy to store.

Arm Guards

Arm guards are an essential part of archery safety equipment. To prevent the string from a bow injuring the archer, a properly fitting arm guard is worn on the inner forearm of the non-dominant hand. While arm guard sizes vary from person to person, most children use 5" guards, while adults use 8"-11" guards.
